Brrr! It’s getting cold outside! So far, this winter hasn’t been so cold, but I guess it couldn’t stay like that the whole season. Since it’s getting colder, it’s time to pull out your heavy duty winter gear; and I don’t mean just bundling up to look like a big marshmallow. You can stay warm in the frigid temperatures while staying stylish.

The first thing you’ll need is a fabulous coat. Peacoats will always be a trendy classic. There are many different styles of this coat that you can choose from. Try getting one in a structured style in a classic color (black, white, navy, red, or tan). This colors look great with almost anything. Another great coat that will never go out of style is the leather bomber (think of Tom Cruise in Top Gun). These coats look great in either black or brown; of course they are awesome in other colors, but getting one in a neutral color you might be able to play around with it a little more with different colored winter accessories.

Don’t forget to pair a trendy scarf with your coat. Try a bold print to play up your outwear style. A few prints that are currently tending now are cheetah, aztec, and tapestry. As it gets closer to the spring, you can switch up your scarf to a floral print to stay warm yet in styling for the upcoming season. Different types of scarves that keep you extremely warm in the winter are large blanket-like scarves and infinity scarves. The perfect scarf can completely pull together. Just switching up your scarf can transform your look from day to day.

The last main item you will need this winter is a warm and cozy hat. Faux fur hats are all the rave this season. They come in natural looking colors as well as trendy hues such as burgundy. These hats keep you extra warm while looking good at the same time.
