Tis the season…to shop! Well, when is it not a good time to shop? With the holiday season coming up, you’ve probably been invited to some sort of parties such as office parties or  ugly sweater parties. For either of these events, you’ll need a great outfit that shows your personality and is festive for the fun occasion.
It is important that you still portray a professional appearance at office parties because it is still with your co-workers and superiors. There are many holiday trends this season that are appropriate for these occasions. One of them is wearing an outfit incorporating lace. An a-line or pencil dress with a lace overlay would be perfect for a company holiday event. It is very classy yet stylish. Some colors to think about would be the classic black dress, or to make a statement, you could wear either white or red.
Along with these colors, another that is very hot this season is navy blue. This color is becoming the new black and can replace black in any situation. Some other colors that are trending include gold/champagne, various shades of green, and silver. The holiday season is a very festive time with a lot of metallics used.
A lot of sequins area also used around this time of year. Wearing a sequined top under a blazer would be great for an office party as well. Some other types of fabrics to consider are plaids, leather, fur (faux of course), and velvet.
Winter fashion is all about textures and layering. If you are attending an ugly sweater party, or just a casual holiday party, a great outfit would be to layer a jean shirt under a sweater and pair it with a leather skirt. Dark hued tights and boots would go perfect to pull this look together.
These are just a few examples of awesome, festive holiday outfits. Experiment with the many trends that are out and find what is best for you and your personality and the occasion.
