Fall is Coming!

“Sweater weather is my favorite weather.”

I love, love, LOVE fall fashion! Sweaters, cardigans, many layers, colorful/patterned tights, boots, scarves! I love it all! You can never go wrong with layers in the fall because of the constantly changing weather.

The transition between summer and fall is a killer. In the morning the air is brisk and perfect for a lightweight jacket over your outfit, but by the time noon hits, the sun is blaring and you want to be back in shorts and a tank top. Dressing for this transitional period can be very annoying not knowing what to expect within the next hour or so. I’m going to share some outfit ideas for those weird weather days, as well as some ways to take your summer fashion into fall without a hitch.

Don’t pack away those summer dresses yet. Throw a denim jacket, cardigan, or blazer over it during to fall to increase their longevity. You can even wear a lightweight sweater over a maxi dress as well with either sandals or a cute pair of booties.

When it gets consistently cool out, pair tights under your shorter summer frocks to keep your legs warm. Try not to pull out the tights too early though or you’ll want to cut them off in the middle of the day from the heat! Also, with the right strapless dress or even a one with a front cut-out, you can layer a crisp white t-shirt under to take your look from August to autumn.

Still want to get some more wear out of your shorts or skirts? Style them either with a sweater and roll the sleeves up, or a cute blazer with a graphic tee under. These can be either dressed up or down, so the options are endless.

What are your summer favorites you’ll be taking into fall? Let me know!
