Self care is the best care! We all need to make sure to take some time and relax. An at home spa day can do the trick without you having to leave the comfort of your home.
Start off by wearing some comfy pajamas or a big cozy robe. You can play some soft music and light a candle or use a diffuser with your favorite essential oils. My go-to essential oils to use when I want to feel really relaxed is lavender and eucalyptus. I also have these great candles from It’s Candle Talk that will be sure to start some inner healing.
I’m all for doing a face mask, I have so many different ones that I like. Always start with a clean face, I even steam my face after washing and before applying a mask sometimes. I have a handheld steamer by Q-Redew that I use. You can also steam your face over a bowl of hot water for a few minutes and cover with a towel to keep the heat in. I followed the steaming with the Charcoal Honey Mask from the Clear Improvement line by Origins. This mask is for purifying and hydrating; it leaves my skin feeling so soft and smooth afterwards. I followed up with the Rose Hydrating Sheet mask; just leave on for a few minutes and after you take it off, simply massage in the remaining serum into your skin. Some other brand that I like face masks from are Freeman’s, Boscia, and Fresh. I have so many different masks to choose from depending on how my skin is feeling and what it needs. There’s a picture below of some of the ones I have and love.

Another essential for an at home spa day is to soak your feet in warm water and epsom salts. My favorite salts for soaking are Dr. Teals, the Relax & Relief and the Calm & Serenity; I like to mix a little bit of both salts for a little razzle dazzle. You can soak your feet in a dedicated foot bath or a sink dish basin will do the trick, I found some at Target for $2! Grab a pumice stone to slough away the dead skin after your feet have been soaking for a bit. I’ll also use a sugar scrub after this part to make sure my feet are super smooth and soft. Honey Scrubs N’ Stuff has a great body scrub that i love, I actually need to order some more myself. After soaking and drying your feet, apply a nourishing foot cream or butter, Jergens has a really nice body butter collection with Lavender in the formula (lavender is my favorite). Don’t forget to get out your nail polish and paint your toes a pretty color, you might as well after pampering them!

While doing all this pampering, making sure you are staying hydrated. Well, that’s so important in general and has countless benefits that you’ll notice by increasing your water intake. It can clear up and prevent acne, boosts skin health by flushing out toxins, promote hair and nail growth, increase your energy, prevent bloating and more. Fruit infused water has it’s added benefits as well. Not only does it add some flavor to your water, it can also add vitamins depending on the fruits you use, provide digestive support and have calming effects.
I hope you all can find a few moments of “you time” so you can sit back, unwind, and maybe try a few of these pampering ideas. I want to hear your at home spa day stories or what products you love using, leave a comment below so I can try some out!
Happy relaxing!
