This year’s hottest, must have accessory is a face mask (unfortunately), but why not have fun with some hair accessories too? Some super chic, curated options can give you a little excitement while getting ready in the morning. Play around with some bedazzled barrettes, pearl bobby pins, satin bows, funky headbands and more. Here are some of my favorites that I’ve added to my collection for the season.
Large, puffed up headbands are making a come back. You know, the ones that give off Blair Waldorf (from Gossip Girl) vibes! I don’t wear headbands often, but I couldn’t resist trying these out, especially the faux leather one with a bow. And the metallic one is becoming one of my go-tos for my messy bun hair days.
Jeweled and pearled headbands are super cute too and will transition well into the winter to add a touch of class to your holiday looks.
Various hair clips & barrettes with pearls, stones, wording, etc. You can wear one piece at a time, or over accessorize and mix different finishes and textures to create a unique look each time you wear them.
Claw clips are another good accessory to keep your hair back. There are so many different sizes in these, but I prefer the smaller ones to either pull one side of my hair back. Or I like to clip it at the top of my hair pulling both sides back to create that half up/half down look.
Satin/silk scrunchies can be found pretty much everywhere and can play up your ponytail or bun. I feel like these give my bun and ponytails more of an “I put some effort in this morning” look lol.
I found these pearl ponytail strands on clearance at Icing by Claires and thought they were so cute. They’d be easy to make as well; it’s just a strand of faux pearls attached to a bobby pin. I pinned them in towards the top of my head so that the strands would end at the bottom of my hair and then wrapped the larger pearls around my ponytail.
These bun cuffs from ShopHerFavorites are a stylish and give my bun some added attention. One of my go to hairstyles is a bun, so I wanted something to dress it up a bit, and these cuffs are perfect for that!
I don’t wear hair accessories often, but all of these are so cute and fun that I’ll definitely make sure I wear them more.
