Handbags are an essential in a woman’s wardrobe, we typically don’t leave home without them. There are so many styles that offer different functions yet are still very stylish. Below are some keys styles that you should have if you don’t already. You can never have too many handbags…well maybe you can, but make sure you have some of these styles before saying you have too many.
Roomy tote: These are the perfect bags for work and travel. There’s enough space to house everything you need for the day and depending on the size, you can even fit a laptop or tablet inside. I tend to fill my totes up with everything just because I have the space, and then complain that my bag is heavy lol.

Clutch: You should have at least two of these mini bags, one for daytime and one for the evening. The daytime one will be a little more casual and perfect for going to brunch or a coffee date. For the evening, the clutch may be a little smaller and dressier either with the fabric being different or some type of embellishment on it.

Crossbody: As much as I love packing all my things in a tote, I also love a cute crossbody. These are best for running errands or hanging with friends because you can keep it close to your body and have your arms/hands free to move about. Crossbody bags come in a variety of sizes, but I personally like the smaller ones best, especially ones with card slots so I can transfer things from my wallet into it.

Convertible bag: These bags can be worn as a crossbody, a belt bag, and sometimes a clutch depending on the structure of it. These are the perfect day-to-night options for vacation and cause you to have less to pack by being able to wear this one bag in different ways. Some convertible bags have to option to shorten the strap to give a different look.

Fun statement: This “statement” can be a variety of things. A bright color, a unique shape, or even have wording for a literal statement. The main thing is that it’s FUN and something you love!

Backpack: This is not your typical “I’m going to class” backpack. I’m talking a more refined, grown up backpack, maybe in leather for a very sleek look. Wearing a backpack will keep your hands free while on the go, making these perfect for traveling.

Weekender: I don’t know why, but I’m a little obsessed with travel bags, especially weekend duffel bags. There are so many cute ones that I always have to talk myself out of getting another on. One of my favorites is this navy Vera Bradley large duffel because it has many pockets inside and out that helps me keep things organized and the size of it is perfect for a 3-4 day trip.

I love handbags and have SO many different ones in many colors, shapes, and sizes. They all serve their own purposes and I love to switch them out whenever I feel the need to change things up a bit or just going on a quick outting. What are your favorite types of bags? Let me know in the comments!
